The appointment of Ian provides a part time dedicated Chair and Ian brings with him a wealth of senior management experience from the commercial arena.
For many years, before retiring, Ian was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) working in the consulting and outsourcing lines of service; he was a European Board member for PwC’s outsourcing business which operated across 11 countries and involved around 2,000 staff.
Ian also brings with him a wealth of experience from other activities including being a Member of the Statistics Commission. He has been a member of an international group set up by the Foreign Minister of Denmark to advise on the implications of globalisation and a member of two advisory groups to the Home Secretary, a non-executive member of the Board of the MOD Ship refitting organisation and a member of Council of the University of Surrey.
As the independent Chair of the Advisory Board Ian will initially be looking to form the Board and will want to work with the many PAF communities to ensure that a wide range of users are represented.
